California-Based Palliative Care Team Training

With generous support from the Archstone Foundation, COMFORT Communication for Palliative Care Teams is a two-day course for interprofessional hospital-based palliative care teams to improve the quality of patient and family care by focusing on palliative care communication. The course is organized by the themes of the evidence-based and theoretically-grounded, COMFORT™ ℠ communication curriculum, a national palliative care communication training program, and includes skill-building exercises, role plays, and instruction on how to evaluate the curriculum at course attendees’ institutions. Each participant receives extensive materials, including a textbook, USB of training manual, resources and references, and a copy of the curriculum.
